TECHNIQUE & FINDINGS
To craft this bracelet, I employed a method called thread wrapping, which involves skillfully hand-wrapping alpaca yarn around a cotton core. This results in a stunning presentation of alpaca fleece’s beauty and exceptional softness in a truly distinctive manner.
Every bracelet is completed with a lobster clasp and comes with a 4 cm extension chain.
– hand-blended British alpaca yarn (100%)
– cotton cord
– stainless steel
Surgical-grade stainless steel features a hypoallergenic formula and is distinct from inferior metals such as alpaca or low-quality alloys. Unlike gold or silver, it requires little maintenance or cleaning to maintain its lustre and shine. Its surface is highly resistant to oxidation and corrosion, and its components will not develop an unpleasant odour or tarnish over time.
The item will be delivered in one of my pouches.
All the materials I utilise for packaging are both recycled and environmentally friendly – from acid-free tissue paper to the unbleached postal box in which it arrives.

Alpaca fibre is one of the most ethical products currently available that is completely eco-friendly and cruelty-free at the same time.
👉 Alpacas are not killed to get their fleece which is needed to be cut in order to avoid health risks (mainly overheating).
👉 Shearing usually takes around five to ten minutes per animal. Keep in mind that the sourced fleece is just a luxury addition to a necessary process!
Make a conscious choice!
Nobody can guarantee that alpacas are treated with respect at all farms.
That is why it is so important to check the source of the fleece and yarn.
Here at Alpacappella Jewellery, I source fibre from friendly farms (mainly British and American) which care for the health, safety and comfort of their animals. More information->
