1. How to correctly measure my wrist size?

Measure your wrist according to the picture below. Wrap a tape measure snugly around your wrist, where you prefer your bracelet to sit and make a note of the circumference measurement. PLEASE, DO NOT ADD ANY ADDITIONAL LENGTH. I will add a 1 cm space needed for a comfortable fit. 

2. What if I gave the wrong wrist size?

I'm afraid in this case I will charge you £5 for resizing if the original wrist size you gave me was incorrect. ⚠️ I craft my bracelets starting from the EXACT measurement of your wrist to which I add a space of 1 cm for an optimal fit. This is why the LENGTH of your BRACELET is ALWAYS LONGER than the SIZE of your WRIST. ⚠️

3. Can I bathe with my jewellery?

I encourage my customers to remove their pieces before showering. There is a good chance that soaps, oils, shampoos, cosmetics in general, can cause a layer of build-up which can make a braid appear very dull or dirty over time.  

4. Can my jewellery get wet?

Yes 🙂 Alpaca fibre is water-repellent. Please remember to dry the jewellery well before putting it into a drawer / pouch. However, I do not recommend showering or bathing in it due to the effect of cosmetics on the braid.

 

5. What are the metal parts made of?

All metal parts are made of surgical stainless steel (or sterling silver when applicable). Surgical stainless steel has a hypoallergic formula and is suitable for allergy sufferers. Is not the same as alpaca or cheap metal. Unlike silver or gold, it does not require maintenance, cleaning and care, so you can enjoy its beauty and gloss without much effort. The surface is resistant to oxidation and corrosion. The components don’t start to smell or tarnish after time. Read more ->

 

6. What's the shipping time?

Please keep in mind that your piece is one of a kind and handmade by me. I send items within 4 working days via RM 1st Class (UK) or RM International Standard. If your item is made to order, please allow at least 7 working days from order to despatch. Read more->

 

7. What if the package has not arrived?

If your package does not turn up within the expected timeframe, please contact me and I will do my best to rectify the situation.

**However, please be aware that I don’t consider a parcel ‘lost’ in the post until it has been a full 20 days (UK)/60 days from the date of shipping (International), and I will not replace an item sooner than this.**

8. What if I want to return my jewellery?

NO-HASSLE RETURNS & EXCHANGE!

If you are looking to return or exchange your order for whatever reason, I am here to help! I offer free returns or exchanges within 14 days of receiving your order. You can return your product for a different product, or a full refund to the original payment method. Please note, that you will be responsible for the delivery charges and costs of returning the items to me unless I delivered the item to you in error, or if the item in question is damaged or defective.

⚠️ Unfortunately, because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, AJ can't accept returns for custom or personalised orders.

9. What if I want to send jewellery as a gift?

No problem at all 🙂 The jewellery is beautifully packaged with a handwritten note (cotton pouch + tissue paper + alpaca peg). If you want me to add an additional card with your wishes, write them in the "order notes box" at checkout or send them to marta@alpacappella.com

10. Are children's sizes available?

11. Can I have a bracelet with a magnetic clasp?

Yes, most bracelets can be made with a magnetic clasp. In this case, leave your wrist size in the "order notes" box when you checkout.
