TECHNIQUE & FINDINGS
To create these bangles I used a technique known as thread wrapping. This technique consists of artfully wrapping alpaca yarn around a cotton core by hand. Thanks to this, the beauty and extraordinary softness of alpaca fleece are presented in a unique way.
The balls are made of the same fibre. I have felted them with a needle, thanks to which they have a beautiful shape and are still incredibly soft. All this without the use of detergents as in the case of much faster wet felting.
Each bangle is finished with surgical steel caps, a lobster and an extension chain (4 cm).
SURGICAL STEEL
Surgical stainless steel has a hypoallergic formula. Surgical steel is not the same as alpaca or cheap metal. Unlike silver or gold, it does not require maintenance, cleaning and care, so you can enjoy its beauty and gloss without much effort. The surface is resistant to oxidation and corrosion. The components don’t start to smell or tarnish after time!
PACKAGING
The bangle will arrive in one of my pouches. All the materials I use for packaging are environmentally friendly and recycled, from the acid-free tissue paper to the unbleached postal box it arrives in.
