Approximately length: 48 cm/ 18.9 in (whole necklace), 9.5 cm/ 3.7 in (the pendant)
Pendant width: 4 cm / 1.6 in
+ an adjustable chain: 4 cm / 1.6 in
TECHNIQUE & FINDINGS
To make the necklace with 2-colour Ishi Datami pattern I used a Japanese braiding technique called Kumihimo (“gathered threads”). It’s the time-consuming technique but the results that can be achieved through it are stunning. A piece of wire inside a braid makes the pendant flexible but keeps the shape.
The necklace is finished with a lobster and has an adjustable chain.
Surgical stainless steel has a hypoallergic formula and it’s not the same as alpaca or cheap metal! More information HERE.
